Personal Trainer
Elisa is a Personal Trainer with over five years of experience helping people improve their strength, movement, fitness, and overall wellbeing through evidence-based exercise.
Originally from Brazil, Elisa holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, a Master of Science, and recently completed her PhD in Exercise Physiology at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Elisa’s research background spans both her PhD, which explored the dosage effects of passive heating on neuromuscular performance, and her Master’s research examining upper limb strength asymmetries in young tennis players. This combination reflects her strong foundation in evidence-based exercise science and gives her valuable insight into injury prevention and balanced strength training.
Throughout her career, Elisa has worked with a wide range of clients, including those managing musculoskeletal conditions, hypertension, pregnancy, cancer treatment, and general health and fitness goals. She is passionate about creating personalised exercise programs that improve movement quality, build confidence, reduce pain, and support long-term health.
Elisa has also worked as a university educator, teaching Exercise Physiology, Human Anatomy, and Performance Analysis at QUT. She enjoys helping clients understand their bodies and empowering them to achieve meaningful and sustainable results.
At Realign Physio & Co, Elisa works closely with our physiotherapists and healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and individualised exercise programs for people of all ages and abilities.
